There is also a tradition for the ears every first Sunday in September: more than a dozen folk music groups from Bavaria and neighboring Austria meet under the motto “Aufgspuit im Murnauer Moos”. They then make music at three locations in the Murnauer Moos – the Drachenstich, the St. Georg Chapel and the Ähndl: a musical highlight in front of a fantastic Alpine backdrop!

In autumn, Murnau hosts what is probably the most impressive Leonhardi pilgrimage in the Blue Land region. The "Froschhauer Leonhardifahrt," with its decorated horse-drawn carriages and floats depicting scenes and themes from local history, is the second largest horse procession in Bavaria. The procession travels from the center of Murnau to the Leonhardi Church in Froschhausen, where, according to ancient custom, the livestock are blessed.
