“A bisserl gspinnert”

The artist Anne-Kristin Sturm is actually known for her large and colorful photographs on aluminum. But this time she is showing something completely different. The exhibition is called "A bisserl gspinnert" (A little bit crazy).

Zu sehen sind Collagen, oft dreidimensional, wie immer sehr bunt, manche etwas schräg. Sie selbst sagt, sie habe alles verwendet, was ihr in die Finger kam und was ihr gefallen und Spaß gemacht hat. Perfektionismus wurde verbannt.

In ihren Kunstwerken hat die 57-jährige aus Riegsee/ Hagen u.a. alte Retro-Tapeten, Barbie-Puppen, Teppiche, ausländische Devisen, viel Glimmer und Glitzer und viele viele Blumen verarbeitet.

Wenn man sich die Ausstellung so betrachtet, könnte man sie auch „starke Frauen“ nennen. Kommen Sie vorbei, dann wissen Sie warum.

Art in public space

Anyone walking through Murnau these days can discover something new in familiar places: Three artworks have been installed in the cultural park and at the Münter House, enriching the public space for the 2026 season. The art advisory board selected them as part of the "Art in Public Spaces" initiative , which the town of Murnau has launched for the tenth consecutive year.

The untitled animal sculptures by Ramona Bertl from Altenau are on display in the cultural park . The wooden steles reflect the artist's affinity for the animal world and rural life. The art advisory board praised the craftsmanship and the regional connection. The jury also aimed to support a young artist with this selection and provide her with an exhibition space in a public setting.

Also installed in the cultural park was "Fau" by Andreas Breitsamter from Murnau. The sculpture impressed the art advisory board with its unique form and three-dimensional effect. The jury particularly praised the choice of materials, which demonstrated a strong artistic vision.

At the Münter House, "Gabriele Münter's Clothesline" by Susanne Winter from Riegsee complements the public space. The work references a woodcut motif by Gabriele Münter and translates it into a three-dimensional form. The art advisory board praised the original idea, the successful connection to the location, and the interesting choice of materials.

All three artworks invite the viewer to perceive familiar places in a new light and to experience art directly in everyday life.
