“Art in the Kindergarten” - an exhibition by children from February 5th to 25th, 2026

Art exhibition by children of the Drachennest daycare center

The art exhibition is the result of a project undertaken during this year's kindergarten year. The Drachennest daycare center engaged with the work of artists from Murnau and drew inspiration from them. The exhibition focuses on experimenting with colors and shapes, painting with brushes, fingers, hands, and other tools. The children receive support with their ideas, whether painting, creating, or using natural materials. The results are truly impressive!

The exhibition features pictures and works by children aged 3 to 10 years using different techniques and on different themes.

You can admire selected works in the current exhibition in the foyer of the town hall in Murnau.

The opening reception will take place on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at 4:00 PM.

The exhibition can be viewed during the opening hours of the town hall:

Mon to Fri 08:00 - 12:00

Tue 14:00 PM - 16:00 PM

Thu 14:00 PM - 18:00 PM

Art in public space

The art board has great ones again for 2025 Sculptures selected by artists from the region, who will work as part of the Art in Public Spaces project from May until probably October Cultural Park and at the Münter House you can see.

The sculpture entitled “Flamming Earth” by Ms. Mähler from Altenau can be seen in the culture park. Furthermore, the object “Lizard with river stones” by Mr. Kornbichler from Wallgau will be exhibited. Feeling and touching this object is expressly desired. At the third location, at the Münter House, the “Colorful Dog” is presented by Ms. Assum from Murnau. The “Bunte Hund” is a personal homage by the artist to the Kunterbunt eV, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year.
