Alpaca breeding and farm shop
The Riegsee Alpaca Farm breeds and sells alpacas to interested parties who have the opportunity to keep the animals in a species-appropriate manner. Alpacas are considered intelligent, friendly, robust, and easy to care for. As herd animals, they only feel comfortable in company – at least in pairs – and can live for over 20 years.
In the farm shop (currently open by appointment only), visitors will find a fine selection of alpaca wool products. The material is exceptionally soft, temperature-regulating, odorless, and also suitable for people who are sensitive to other types of wool. The natural color palette ranges from creamy white through shades of gray and beige to warm brown – each piece as unique as the animals themselves.
