Take the Alpenbus from Murnau via Bad Tölz to Rosenheim - fast – uncomplicated – affordable and environmentally friendly.
Three new express lines connect the east-west axis for the first time with clear hourly service, 7 days a week from Murnau via Penzberg, Bad Tölz, Miesbach and Rosenheim without going via Munich.
How it all started:
The idea and vision for this new bus connection originated in 2018, as there was already a good north-south connection, but none that linked the five districts and major cities from east to west with an express line. This has resulted in an important joint project that is valuable both economically and for tourism.
This is where the Alpine bus goes:
There are two connections: On the West Line (X990) The bus runs from Murnau to Bad Tölz, with stops in Habach, Penzberg and Bad Heilbrunn. On weekdays, there is an additional stop at the Roche company; on weekends, there is also a stop in Iffeldorf with the Osterseen lakes.
The East Line (X380) the bus runs from Bad Tölz via Miesbach to Rosenheim with stops in Waakirchen-Rathaus, Gmund-Bahnhof, Ostin and Agatharied.
The express connection (X381) between Bad Tölz and Miesbach with stops in Greiling, Reichersbeuern and Waakirchen.
Timetables and fares:
Every hour between 6 a.m. and 9 p.m., and from 7 a.m. on weekends, at the MVV fare. Thanks to the simple integration into the MVV fare system and the single-zone solution, fares are affordable, making it an ideal solution for commuters and visitors spending their holidays in the Alpine foothills.
